Places to Stay

The Border towns have some beautiful historic hotels and B&Bs to make a base for your visit. Many of the old pele towers are now luxury converted accommodation. Carlisle, Dumfries, Annan, Hawick, Jedburgh, Kelso, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Seahouses, Alnwick, Wooler, Rothbury and Hexham are all well situated for a stay while the Scottish Capital of Edinburgh or the Tyneside conurbation of Newcastle are both well placed for day trips if you are looking for a more cosmopolitan nightlife during your vacation.

There are many campsites and caravan holiday parks scattered through the Border but once again it is best to plan ahead and book well in advance.
